hi.

In my life, I have made many many friends, school, competitions, council, dance, church, family and others. Some stay really close to my heart, some just fade as the years go by... some grow deep within me that you know when they're happy, you feel happy for them, and when they're sad you feel sad too? It is really hard sometimes to let people know how much you love them, despite the countless times you tell them that you love them and that you'll always be there for them. These few days have been really rough in terms of emotions? You dont know what you actually feel?
Or whether these things in your head are even considered as problems? Even though my Christmas this year was very spiritual but I guess it's our testing period.............. I especially hold onto this phrase that Fr Bosco mentioned during his sermon,
" Joy is not when you are free from problems, it is when you can see God in them"
Theres many misconceptions in our lives, that if we're free from burdens or troubles we would be joyous, which is why everyone is trying so hard to lead a life free from problems...
But is it really that easy a task? To make life a smooth sailing sail?
Perfection sometimes leads you to failure.
that's what I realised only today..
People change over time, and maybe I have to too, I have to accept people for what
they have becomed... seems like i'm only clinging onto the ghost of the past.
sometimes you feel like you miss this friend, then again you hate this friend for what he/she has become, is it really their fault, or is it just me?
why can't everyone stay the same?
I only want the people I love so much to be happy, and comfortable.
I dont want to see them miserable, disappointed and in distress, tearing, crying, begging for help.
God, you really stir deep within me.

sorry for this whole chunk of emotional stuff.

i need a break.
a break from everything.
to just...
think

MARYANNE MARY LOVE
CAN JUST BE SUCH A PIG SOMETIMES...
but i still love her all the same (:
so i'm going to exploit her life by posting up illicit contents of her piggish ways.

wooohooo, shopping trip with Mars on wednesday was crazy funnny and rushy.
we went to levis so that she could like totally trade in her oldie jeans, and she got her
cool new jeans too.... after which i forgot where we went after that, but anyways we went
to eat @ the awesome wosome Soup Spoon, where she revealed HER ULTRA PIGGISH side.
:D:D:D never under-estimate a small girl, with a big appetite for you'll never know..
she may eat up the whole world someday, and I mean it, really someday (:
went to Art Friend after that so that we could get the scrap materials for our diary!
Yippeeee! We bought like those foamy paper, and this ultra cool small chalkboard!
And as usual I bought loads of stuff there for my own personal use as well, lalala.
then we were suppose to pick Matthew up from her house, but time was seriously running out, and I was reading on that day as well! HAHA, funny I had to change into my dress in the cab
Then I realised I had forgotten to bring along my flats, and I was in my slippers, haha but in the end I borrowed it from Amanda who of course saved my life (:
The next day, which was Thursday I woke up superr early just to go to Church of the Holy Family with Bel all the way at the East side of Singapore, Chapel Road..
Oh my, I'm such an East-diot, hahaha we took 3 buses just to get there and we were late
to top it all off. We met the people there and played some icebreakers games.
Teeheeee, I was in group Whiskey (: And we're like the Alcoholics Anonymous peeps.
Camp Who Died was pretty fun, because we went to Pulau Ubin on Sat for something like an
Amazing Race, and it was my first trip to that island.
things are cheap there, to rent a bike for the whole day only costed 2 bucks.
we had Praise & Worship in the evening, fun much learnt a lot of new songss!
Sacrament of Recounciliation was after, hahaha crying session was in betweeeenn.
Holy Fam's environment's totally different from SFX, different people, different culture, but I made a lot of new friends :D
Right now it's just me in my roooom, finally getting to chill.
Camp Who Died was like my 6th camp in the entire holiday, which means
6 x 4 = 24 days spent not at home.
hahahaha 24 / 31 days is like a lotttt.
:D
oh and I had to leave early from Camp because I was to emcee with Mel for the IJ Alumni Christmas Party thing (:
it was awsome fun man, the venue was @ Popstars City, Robertson Walk area, teeheee the studios of Kids Performing,
Met Ms Catherine Ho, the president of IJ Alumni, really pleasant lady (:
yayyyyy!
gotta goooo do the proposals already, till next timeeee (:

SIGNATURE "WHATEVER" M.E FACE (: get it? can't you see the W!

hello blogspot, i'm posting because I dont wanna abandon you and not because my day was exciting, however it was good.
everyone's on a holiday, and i feel the need to get out of this environment, soon that is.
it's hard to reflect when you're entrapped in a stuffy environment..
there are many things that you wanna say no to, but you dont have what it takes to get out of your comfort zone.
What if life was just you, living on the slow pacing countryside of Switzerland, having a family, milking cows and being with God?
i think that's the life I want to have when I retire, or actually when I feel tired of urbanisation.
is there even such a word?

random fact: Did you know that your keyboard contains equal amount of germs that are found on your toilet bowl? So remember to wipe them.

Quote of the Day for Stelle:
You will find when you look back upon the days, that the moments where you truly lived, were the moments you did things in the spirit of love.

When was the last time I did things in the spirit of love? When was yours?

Don't you be in such a hurry
Cause it only leads to worry
There's a time to work
And there's a time to pray
Try to find a quiet place
To hear his voice
And seek his face
Can you hear the spirit calling
Come away
Come away, come away hey,hey
Come and spend some time with me
Come away
Let your heart and mind be stilled
Let your empty cup be filled
Come and spend some time with me
Come away
Are you sinking in your sorrow
Are you worried'bout tomorrow
Are the pressures of this life's
Too hard to bear
If you cast your cares on him
He'll give a perfect peace within
Can you hear the spirit calling
Come away

on the search to finding this song....

Monday, December 1, 2008 @ 8:59 PM

hello world, it's update time!
first and foremost, I'd like to say that I dont like my blogskin now, it's too dull so I am going to change it! It's gonna be pretty long a story if I were to blog about my entire week because basically it's just been EGGCITING! tiring toooo..
Yup, went for Camp Daniel, on the first day I was totally toasted, didn't even feel like I wanted to be there because there was Tridiuum mass going on in church and partly because all my friends were there and I was left to rot in the camp with the older people, turns out that I was the only one my age. But things got so much better, and I kinda felt bad for my behaviour (: The camp wasn't like any other, it was more carefree and offered you a lot of time to do some reflection and journalling with God, listening to his voice and learning how to be like Daniel ( well not Dan Soo that is ). The 3 things that I've taken home the most is, Conviction, Conversion and Idolatry.
Out of 3, 2 are good ones.
That the Lord loves youth with conviction and we must always stay steadfast in our prayers and duties as Catholic Youths because God is going to use us as prophets on Earth (:
Conversion was about total surrender and having great faith, and even though some of us may be actively involved in church ministries, all the more we should seek conversion as many a time we tend to channel our energy into, DOING rather than BEING.
We start to do the work we do with our minds instead of using our hearts, this makes it all turn into an obligation. I personally am guilty of being a DOING than being a BEING.
When you're so caught up with work and deadlines, you neglect the prayer part of it, and I'm saying this in the context of ministry work. "These days, ministry leaders never last more than 2 years, or maybe even a year, because inside, flows the doing...."
( I strongly agree with Edwyn ) there's so much more to do this..
Lastly Idolatry was about the factors that we chased after in our daily lives, things that drives us away from God or prevents us from leading the life he planned for us. We took a prayer walk down to Orchard Road on a Friday night, in small groups, just to observe where these idols lurked in our lives unconsiously. I guess the one that striked me the most was when we were at Paragon, we passed by the Gucci Shop and we witnessed the sales personnel there serving champagne to their customers? Like huh? Does pride have to go to that extend where you only serve posh drinks to posh people? The next was HMV, I was looking at the Top 4 Charts, and guess what were the titles. 1. Desperate Housewives, 2. Grey's Anatomy 3. Sex & The City
these shows are shows which strongly has sexual connotations, and they are the ones that top the charts. Can you see how our world is idolising the concept of sex, scandal and lies?
Where has the word fidelity gone to? The world has become so superficial to which even outside a tattoo shop, this quote is hugely pasted on the door " Win Influence, Win Friends, Get a Tattoo" Like what?? Haha, best part is, going to Times Bookstore and checking out the religious section to find books with such titles " God is an ILLUSION " , " God is NOT GREAT" , " How to seek a divine life? Dummies Series " I think seeking a divine life is not all about doing hours and hours of pilates or yoga so that you can attain "enlightenment", haha it's bullshit :D
sorry mind my language, and Christmas these days has lost it's true deep meaning. The Christmas decorations are now all candy canes, christmas trees, presents, what happened to the crib? It's true to be a time of giving but that doesn't apply to the context of giving presents to others, can't it be giving of ourselves to prepare for the Son of Man?
I particularly like this bible verse, it's from Psalm 95 :7-8
" All that today you would listen to his voice, harden not your hearts."
harden not my heart... and that's what I'm praying for everyday.
For total surrender, for steadfastness in living by the Word of God and a better spiritual insight, to listen to God's word.
In all these things, I cling on to this...

" I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you to prosperity and not disaster, plans to BRING you about the future you HOPE for..."
- Jeremiah 29:11

i love you, i need you,
though my world may fall I'll never let you go..
my saviour, my closest friend, I will worship you until the very end.
Jesus, lover of my soul.
